the pineaway

my five-week entrepeneurship course ends tomorrow, and for a business presentation i made this mood clip for the sylvi taimi brand, or rather an imaginary collection, since i haven't had the energy to make it real. november is far from over, though, so there might be some kaamostime items in the shop later... i'm publishing this a day early for all of you who peek into the pineaway.

kaamos is a finnish word of course, it means the time when sun doesn't rise in winter, but it is generally used to describe the overall darkness of the season as well. for me it is a time of peace and quiet, warm blankets and woodsmoke, when every glimmer of light is a rare, precious gem. it also means lots of sleep.

i'm anxiously waiting for snow today. anxiously as in i fear it won't come. the weather charts claim it's coming down but not a flake here yet. not even rain. nothing but anticipation and a dirty white sky.
