it has been said that freaks and geeks was the best 18-hour indie film ever made, and i just happened to watch it as such. all in one go. and as my freak-and-geek-a-thon started after midnight and ended in the late afternoon, my already messed-up sleep cycle took a turn for the worse. i think i woke up after one o'clock last night, thinking i'd still be able to sleep some more, but no.

about three weeks ago i realized that my pattern of getting sleepy at 4-6 in the morning is exactly as if i was living in michigan time. i was there two years ago. which, to cut a long story short, was the biggest mistake of my life. so i'm not exactly pleased. and i had forgotten that the show is set there. weird mix of nostalgies, this. i miss my eighties childhood, watching freaks and geeks for the first time in my early twenties, detroit just a moment ago, as it seems. two years. my goodness.

my favourite part of the show was when ken falls in love, and this time around it didn't fail either. i'm not a big fan of seth rogen, but for that episode alone i'll always have a tiny crush on him.
