blue anemones had begun to flower. a touch of lemon yellow there, too. they look good enough to eat, but sadly are a bit toxic. not deadly though, which is a shame, because anemone poisoning sounds awfully romantic as a cause of death.
i don't know what to do about blogger rotating my photos upon uploading. with the one on the left it's impossible to tell, but sometimes it can get annoying. why would it do that in the first place, when the photos are landscape on my camera and computer, and why isn't there an option to turn it back? but then again, once when i actually tried to post a portrait, it was the right way up but scaled to landscape width.
according to folklore, it's a good omen if the first butterfly you see in the spring is the lemon butterfly.
i'm hoping that if the first butterfly you photograph is one, it means you'll get a better camera that year.
