i also really, really want a magnolia tree with white blossoms.
here's a view of kinsale from the scilly walk. i went there to stare out onto the sea and feel sad. i needed that. when i came home i made a little compot with japanese knotweed. it's an invasive pest of a plant over here, but luckily the young shoots taste just like rhubarb.
