this daddy-o was pretty pleased too, by the looks of it. i wonder whether it's planning on eating the whole pear, or using it as bait. my above-mentioned friend has a fantastic garden, i came home with loads of herbs and veggies, even ginkgo leaves for my scattered brain.
also worth mentioning are the lovely little grapes with just a hint of mold on top. i am so using them to ferment something! maybe go for a fruit scrap vinegar, i think i saw a recipe on pinterest...
more rain was forecast, but the day was bright as a bride. i went to town to fetch a packet from the post office, but forgot despite walking by and thinking "was there something i needed there?" made good finds at the fleamarket again, though, and we ate pizza and sea buckthorn ice cream and apples from the mill hill. back home i gorged on chocolate cake. and ginger ale. i am so full!
oh, and he gave me a cherry tree as well. got some digging to do tomorrow...
