18 February 2010

part of this 'frugality in february' is in that i've been drawing on the back of my electric bill. i like putting the blank sides to good use. or drawing on them. (^u^)

one drawback to internet access and reading blogs is the premature exposure to spring. it's not my favorite season, but when people in milder climates start reporting on snowdrops when in my northern latitudes it's just snow that will drop and drop for months ahead, it's hard to fend off that budding longing. i planted snowdrops in the fall, for the first time. both in the ground back home and on my balcony. wanna see how mine look like?
here:
well, i'm not even sure they'll make it, since i didn't bother with insulation and the sort, expecting another non-winter. little did i know... now i'm not complaining but my potted plants may be. guess i'll find out in a month or two... the cyclames on the left are lost for sure.

better snowdrops over at rare bird, perfectible spark, my wildlife sanctuary and robur d'amour. oh, envy!
