my favourite kind of x-mas ornaments are these often clumsily put together made-in-china wooden characters. you may remember
one i posted earlier. this downtrodden (quite literally) angel was found on the floor of the woodshed earlier this autumn. originally it would have played the cymbals with both hands and a cord for hanging would've been attached at the top of the head. nowadays it can boast some street cred with a massive scar across the face and a wing that's a bit wobbly. i suppose most people would just bin it, but i feel even fonder of it now.

i hope i can find friends for it, because most of my belongings are still in boxes and in storage.
