it wasn't quite cold enough today, so what began as homemade ice cream in the end became cake. a lovely cake, not too sweet but fluffy and crumbly. i glazed it slightly with an elderflower-vanilla topping. it needs a sauce, though, and tomorrow i'll make either lemon or whiskey sauce depending on the mood. or maybe whiskey and lemon...
there is some drawing to be done, but right now my arm is so sore from all the beating of eggs and cream that it just has to wait.
